The project involves the renovation and modernisation of the community centre at Badener Ring 23 in Berlin-Tempelhof, which was built in 1959.
The measures include a functional reorganisation, the creation of barrier-free accessibility through the installation of a passenger lift, the widening of doorways, the construction of a new toilet for persons with reduced mobility and the energy improvement of the existing building as well as the repair of the existing building fabric. In the course of this, the building services will be brought up to modern standards. The new arcade, which was built as a second escape route, was made entirely of wood and gives the church garden a new look.
As a result, the Paulus community will have a modern, open, hospitable, barrier-free meeting center that will provide the groups already based here with space for socializing, sharing and joint activities, as well as adequate rest for learning, counseling, pastoral care and administration.
